I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and play therapist in Decatur, GA. I work with children and adults in LGTBQIA+ community to find self acceptance, community, and create lasting change.
Services
Individual Therapy
I offer individual therapy sessions in person and online for adults 25 and older. I specialize in LGTBQIA+ identities, neurodivergence, attachment, childhood trauma, grief, and suicide. I also incorporate sand tray and expressive art techniques with adults. Click here to learn more about sand tray therapy.
My rate for adult individual sessions is $150/hour. I do not accept insurance but offer sliding scale fees and can help you submit for out of network benefits .
Group Therapy
I offer a variety of in person groups throughout the year. Click here to see current and upcoming groups.
Group therapy rates range from $35-50 per session with limited sliding scale slots in each group.
Play Therapy
I offer child centered play therapy in person for children ages 2-8. Click here and here learn more about play therapy. I specialize working with neurodivergent kids, gender creative kids, LGBTQIA+ families, and very young children.
Play therapy sessions are $165/hour. I do not accept insurance but do offer sliding scale fees.
Filial Therapy

This 6 week group is for kids ages 8-10 who could use a boost in their social skills and self confidence. Through competitive and cooperative board games kids will build skills in making friends, regulating emotions, and capability. Capped at 4 participants.
$50/session with one sliding scale slot available.

About Miranda
I specialize in child centered play therapy with young children ages 2-8 and person centered counseling for adults 25+. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, neurodivergence, gender and sexual identity exploration, suicide, coping with oppression, and adjusting to life changes. My door is wide open to anyone in the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent folks, and polyamorous individuals/families, or anyone looking to do the brave work of understanding themselves more deeply.
For children I offer child centered play therapy alongside regular parent consults where I teach skills to help support kids' growth outside the playroom. For adults, in addition to talk therapy, I offer lots of creative and non-talky options. I may suggest play, expressive arts, sand tray, or walking sessions to help process beyond words.
On a personal note, I'm a queer Jewish nonbinary woman who's big on crafting, reading sci-fi and fantasy, playing Dungeons & Dragons and cozy switch games, and thrifting. If you are interested in working together, please email me to set up a free consultation call to see if we might be a good fit.
